One of the hardest things about being artistic is getting the motivation to do any art. Sktchy can help with that. It’s not a drawing app: it’s a kind of Instagram for the creative arts, enabling you to connect with interesting artists and get the motivation you need to create and share your own work.
Sktchy is based around selfies, which contributing artists then turn into their own works of art. You can browse the results, which cover a huge range of styles, or grab someone else’s photo to make your own interpretation of it. You’re not limited to faces, though: if you prefer to draw landscapes or pets or abstracts you can do that too.
You can take part as a spectator, enjoying the artists’ creative projects, or you can produce your own works and share them with the wider Sktchy community.
Each day you’ll get a new tip from a featured artist along with a video demonstration, as well as a new photo you’re encouraged to work your magic on.
With artists in more than 60 countries sharing more than a quarter of a million original artworks, there’s something here to inspire everyone. Better get those pencils sharpened.
