Practically all running races are postponed until next fall. But you can still have fun with Race Peps by Virtual Runs!

With Race Peps, you can either run the official course of your postponed race with custom made audio turn-by-turns and other fun or just use it for your own audio guidance tool for running new routes.

Virtual run has audio messages placed on the course, with you will hear via the app, when you get to the vicinity of a Pep Point containing the message. Messages could also be just distance based, so no matter where you run it, you will hear the messages during your run.

Using Race Peps during your run does not take anything away from you current app setup, you can listen to any audio you like and use your tracker app just like normal. Race Peps is not a yet another tracker app. And it won’t wear out your battery either.

As a race organizer or running club host, you can easily create virtual runs to your attendees. Visit racepeps.com/virtualruns for more info.

There is two methods for starting your virtual run with Race Peps.

#1 The usual way is to simply first download the app, register and log in. You’ve got the ROUTE CODE from the organizer, and when you enter that code in the app, you are subscribed to the routes the organizer offers and routes downloaded to your phone. Just pick a run/route/course from the list and start running. Route code is intered only once, and if the organizer adds more routes on their selection, they are automatically added to the list. You can subscribe to many route codes simultaneously.

#2 You can also start the route directly from a web page. Just download the app, click the run’s link on the web page, and the run is automatically opened in the app. Tap GO! and start running. This option allows you to run without registering in to Race Peps, but you always have to open the routes from the web page.

Organizer can create virtual runs in our web portal, runner.racepeps.com. Virtual runs can contain location based messages or distance based messages. Location based messages can be turn-by-turn instructions to keep the runner on the official course or they can be whatever fun placed on the course, to give either some information about the surroundings or just some other fun. Ditance based messages are played out based on the distance the runner has ran. This allows entertainment and fun played out for the runner, no matter where the runner is actually running.

All messages can be either written, when the app’s top-notch Text-To-Speech synthesis will speak them out or they can pre-produced and recorded audio files. Written messages or super easy to maintain and edit, audio files gives you the chance to create something professional.

Please contact us, with creating the virtual runs for your attendees. It is easy but needs our actions a little to keep things in order :)

We will be back with the real race event features later on, when the races are back. There are a lot of fun coming up for you!
