With BitsaboutMe, you can earn 1% cashback with every grocery purchase. You can shop anywhere and import your receipts. The money you earn can be invested in offsetting your CO₂ footprint or paid into an account of your choice.

With the BitsaboutMe cashback app, you earn 1% cashback every time you buy groceries: that means if you spend 50 francs on groceries, you’ll be credited with 50 rappen.

The cashback program is open to groceries and other everyday goods such as tobacco, alcohol, and household items—items that you spend money on anyway on a regular basis.

Unlike other cashback promotions, BitsaboutMe’s cashback app lets you shop anywhere: It’s not a loyalty program that only includes specific partners or retailers. In addition, the cashback program is completely digital—say ‘goodbye’ to annoying plastic cards.

Here’s how it works: You shop as usual and pay with a debit card, credit card, TWINT, or any other electronic payment method. Digital receipts, such as those offered by Migros or Coop, can be imported automatically and matched to your payment. Paper receipts can also be scanned with the BitsaboutMe cashback app and easily imported and linked to the corresponding payment. Therefore, you can currently earn cashback on all grocery purchases in Switzerland and Germany with the BitsaboutMe cashback app.

After two to three business days, you will see your cashback under “My Account” in the BitsaboutMe cashback app. You can either reinvest your cashback directly into offsetting your CO₂ footprint. Or you can transfer your money quickly and easily to a bank account of your choice.

The BitsaboutMe app has many more useful features. In general, it serves as a Personal Data Store (PDS) that aggregates all your digital data, giving you a full overview of your digital life. This allows you to gain interesting insights into your financial situation or lifestyle choices such as exercise and diet habits or sustainability.

Finances

The BitsaboutMe app helps you optimize your personal finance management (PFM). For example, you can connect all your accounts from different banks and import digital receipts as well as paper receipts. You get a full overview of your expenses and can make informed financial decisions based on detailed reports. And you’ll always have the right receipt handy—whether it’s for tax purposes, expenses, or a warranty claim.

Health

You can import health data from different sources like Google Fit or Apple Health into your BitsaboutMe app. For example, you can see if you’re getting enough daily exercise. You can also determine the nutritional value of your food purchases with the science-backed Nutri-Score.

Sustainability

The BitsaboutMe app shows you how large your CO₂ footprint is and in which areas, such as mobility or food, you have the greatest potential for improvement. The app also allows you to offset your CO₂ consumption and thus actively invest in climate protection.
