Dodekanisos Seaways aims to support island life and tourism, listening to the needs of all its destinations and continuously adapting to them, offering sustainable sea transfers.
The destinations it travels to and from, are: Rhodes, Symi, Panormitis, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros, Lipsi, Patmos, Agathonisi, Kastelorizo, Chalki, Tilos, Nisyros, Arki, Samos, Ikaria, Fourni and Astypalaia.
The company’s headquarters are in Rhodes and its fleet consists of three ships:
Dodekanisos Express, a passenger/vehicle high-speed catamaran, with 31 knots speed, 337 passengers and 6 vehicles capacity.
Dodekanisos Pride, a passenger/vehicle high-speed catamaran, with 32 knots speed, 280 passengers and 6 vehicles capacity.
Panagia Skiadeni, a car and passenger ship, with 16 knots speed, 700 passengers capacity in summer and 590 in winter. It can transport 115 cars and 12-20 trucks, from 6 to 10 m. long.
Dodekanisos Seaways was founded in 1999 in Rhodes, by Giorgos Spanos. It begun its routes with a high-speed catamaran, Dodekanisos Express, which was built on behalf of the company in Norway, at Båtservice Mandal AS shipyards and it was delivered in 2000. In 2005, the company built its second high-speed catamaran, Dodekanisos Pride. In 2011 the company acquired the passenger/vehicle ship Panagia Skiadeni.
Dodekanisos Seaways, wishing to maintain the highest quality level for all the services offered, applies best practices and draws strategic partnership with the top companies in their field. Also, it is in constant communication with all state authorities (Μinistry of Shipping and Island Policy, Port Authorities etc.) in order to be able to promptly solve any issues that might arise.
The company has acquired many prestigious awards and has been awarded by important institutions for its performance. Indeed, in 2015 it was nominated “Best Coastal Shipping Company” by Lloyd’s List, while in 2016 it received numerous commendations by the Hellenic Red Cross, the Municipality of Rhodes, as well as Rhodes Main Port Authority.
Aiming to the best support of passengers, Dodekanisos Seaways is working closely with 16 main port agents and more than 400 travel agencies.
The company is constantly developing and it aims to increase its fleet and to connect even more destinations in the future.
