What does an Airalo eSIM plan come with?
• An Airalo package comes with data (e.g., 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, etc.) valid for a specified time period (e.g., 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, etc.). If you run out of data or your validity period expires, you can top up your eSIM or download a new one right from the Airalo app.
How much does it cost?

Does an eSIM come with a number?

Incredible!!!
I’m Mpho from South Africa and my partner and I went on a 40 day trip to Spain > Portugal > US > UK. We learned about airalo eSims only when we got to the US and I must say it changed everything especially when it came to cost. We wish we had known about this service before especially having being punished by our service provide with exorbitant (ridiculous) costs for data roaming. I would like to urge anyone travelling overseas to use this service as it was truly a life saver, it works extremely well and I will repeat “it is very cost effective!”.
One little issue or challenge we had was that the top up packages are country specific. For instance, when you move to another country, you have to purchase another eSim specific to that country and then you have to go through the whole process of activating and installation once again. In addition, you can’t use the surplus data you bought from one country to use in another. However, I can live that as opposed to paying silly roaming charges from my own network provider.
A big-ups to the airalo team for breaking boundaries on this revolutionary service and good luck further!

It just works!
I bought the e-sim with Apple Pay. Needed no extra RIKA fiddle. The installation is clear - but read it first! Installation happens automatic. But wifi is needed. I bought 10 Gig for Europe already at home. Became only active once I was in the European network where I then switched to “travel”. Worked in the three countries I traveled to. Your phone number stays the same. I used what’s app for calls. The app finds its own service provider. No user changing necessary. Could buy train, bus or parking tickets that usually require change at the Automat with the phone.
I switched some apps of in the setting app but used it otherwise like I use it at home. I left it on for the navigation in the car - that chowed some data over time. I should have only used that when needed. Maybe it would have been wise to download music before - but sometimes I just need to listen to that song now that I don’t have …
Price wise I think it’s good. I found Europe has become extremely expensive. This package I can recommend.

Best kept travel secret - need to share
This service was a life saver. I am from South Africa and came across Airalo on the internet while researching data options for our family trip to Europe. Previous traveling was very stressful because getting data was quite a hassle or too expensive, and without an active connection getting around is not easy or fast. With Airalo my e-sim data plan was active the moment I stepped off the plane in Germany and kept me connected through my travels in Germany and France, and the cost was extremely affordable. I never lost service and I could use my phone to get around with google maps, search for new things to do and new places to visit - all on the go. It made our trip so much more memorable. The Airalo service is a must-have travel partner.
