The subscription is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription is for a period of one year and automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by you and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase. The cancellation will take effect the day after the last day of the current subscription period, and you will be downgraded to the free service.

Asked for a rating before it would let me turn off the alarm
I am convinced all the 5 star ratings were entrapment as everyone was desperately trying to turn off the annoying alarm while still half asleep and then kept turning back on until I finally uninstalled it. Definitely was a bad start to the day.

A Good Straight Forward Alarm Clock.
A simple and straight forward alarm clock with nice features. It is easy to use and without the paraphernalia that makes most other alarms a nightmare to program and use. Well done. If I wasn't unemployed, I would have upgraded to the advert free one as the adverts are a pain in the behind!
