Bombsquad - Defuse the Bomb 12+

The graphics are really good, but that's pretty much where it ends. Each level, if you don't tap the help button (that's appears to be available once per level) is completed by trying different options after each failure. It would be nice to have some insight into what is expected. Maybe a tutorial on what everything is that you might encounter. Including what you'll find on the bombs. Really not worth the money spent on it. Really disappointing.

This game has excellent graphics, but unfortunately the gameplay is it's downfall.

Firstly, the music is so repetitive that you will either mute the sound or turn it down all together within the first 2 minutes. Also, it sounds like a rip off of phantom of the opera.

The gameplay: the game throws you head first into defusing bombs and to be honest there are many levels that will be completed via numerous attempts; trial and error - but in a tedious manner. Restarting levels mean you need to reload the level each time and it's probably the most irritating feature of the game, apart from the bomb blast image, which is the same for each and every bomb.

There are tools that are used in the game, but to be honest there is no tutorial whatsoever, and the game mentions wires and tools like you are supposed to know exactly what they are. You will be stuck in the same part each and every level until you tap the question mark (you get one hint per level)

The game makers should teach players exactly how to play; it will make the challenge more enjoyable. This is like trying to skydive without knowing exactly how to open your parachute; because nobody showed you.

My advice: try before you buy.

I hoped I could actually learn from defusing bombs but some of the solutions seem arbitrary. The game often feels dull at times and gameplay seems unrefined and somewhat repetitive. But the visuals and music get you through the game just fine.
