Great service

Overall great service. I used the app for the first time during the covid-19 pandemic. I didn’t give the app 5 stars for two reasons. There are a few items that would normally be available at pnp that aren’t available on the app, ie cucumber and broccoli, tomato paste (probably wouldn’t normally be a problem). The second reason is that there is no order history, I have a notoriously bad memory, I couldn’t go back and check that everything I paid for was delivered, which is what I normally do with online purchases, maybe I missed something in the app since I’m still so new at it. All I could see on previous orders was the amount that I paid. I would probably use this delivery service again. The driver was also polite and friendly.

There’s a lot to still be improved with the service

1)The app only gives you an opportunity to rate the order when the driver marks it as delivered. By then you haven’t even opened the items to confirm if everything is there. I’d prefer to go through the items delivered while looking at the order on the app, then only choose to rate it. For now once you dismiss it you never get the opportunity to rate the delivery.
2)While adding items to the cart, it doesn’t show how much you spent so far, unless you open the cart.
3)The delivery time is not reliable, it is too long and it changes multiple times.
4)When the order finally arrived, it has items missing that I paid for, fine I got the refund but it is too inconvenient to get the order 3 hours later with missing items that you wanted to use. It’s rather quicker to go to the store yourself and get the items in less than half the time it takes on this app.
I like PnP because of the Multiply benefits, however, I hardly use this app as there’s always an issue with the delivered items, something missing or order delayed. I rather choose Checkers for the convenience as they always get my orders right and they deliver in about a quarter of the time the time PnP delivers on this app.

Terrible disappointment... and they don’t care!

I recommended this service to friends of mine during lockdown last year when the alcohol restrictions were lifted, bad bad idea. I’ve used them once or twice and recommended it to friends (foreign and local), I thought they were worth it, clearly their service has gone down. My friends ordered on two separate accounts around R10K worth of wine and spirits but were faced with terrible feedback, one being that the order has been delivered which wasn’t the case and the other not having stock. I didn’t want to write a review until now after yet another friend has complained about this service. I’ve been recommending Bottles to everyone I deal with and the feedback I get is appalling. Since our major mishap happened with the two orders we have spent an insane amount to stock up for various occasions (past, current and future). This isn’t what a company wants from someone who is influential, having a person tell around 40 people, including major company executives, not to use this service. Honestly, if you’re looking to get wine, use the services or GetWine or Wine, I’m not sure what the company is called, they deliver on the same day without any hassles no matter how big the order (we ordered around 90 bottles of wine and it got delivered the same afternoon).
