Colourful chaos awaits in our 2016 iPhone Game of the Year. Supercell’s awesome card battler delivers excellent deck-building mechanics and fast-paced fights in a package that’s easy to understand and undeniably fun. Upgrading, unlocking and experimenting with cards gives the game endless replayability, and deciding just where to drop your heroes makes each battle distinct. But no matter how good your deck is, there’s no substitute for skill and quick thinking.
Reshuffle deck at start?
I’m a huge fan of the game been playing it since 2020 and I’ve always loved it, this isn’t my first review, the last time I wrote a review I suggested that there be added an option of increasing and decreasing the volume instead of just switching the whole sound off, and I’m happy to see that they’ve implemented that idea. I have another idea, I’m not sure if this’ll fit quite well in the game as I’m not aware of the key things you look at when implementing changes to the game, but I’d like to have an option where I can reshuffle the cards I get at the beginning of the game, in exchange of some elixir obviously. I find that sometimes when I start the game my opponent starts with a card that I can’t counterattack because the best card is not yet available to play with. This is not a burning issue, just a little option I’d like to have
Pay to win
I have played this game since it came out in 2016, and have used multiple different accounts and grown them, I’ve always been able to make this accounts good and high level, as it has been fairly easy to obtain a decent number of gems (especially through mastery), sufficient cards and gold. However as of the most recent update, gems are extremely hard to get as they have taken it out of mastery, and if you want your cards to be elite or evolve, you are forced to pay. I used to love this game because it was very free to play, my account was nearing finishing trophy road and path of legends, until this new pay to win update came out, now I have no chance against these cards, unless I put in more money. As fun as the game still is, you have ruined a lot of aspects for people who don’t want to spend money or cannot afford it. Already I’ve spent $10 on trying to get my cards evolved, and will further have to spend another $20 just to get on of the cards evolved. I personally live in a country with a Terrible exchange rate to the dollar, so for me paying this is a lot more than it is for others. Supercell, please change this and make it possible to obtain this, even if it’s only 2 eco shards every season or something that allows free to play players to compete.
