A great update to the Mining Weekly app
Mining Weekly has released a significant update to their IOS news app and it's evident that the development team has addressed a lot of the shortcomings of the previous version. Opening the app the latest news loads quickly and menus are slicker and much simpler. Browsing and searching is easy and intuitive. Ads are also less intrusive leaving more space to actually read the articles. Some of the headlines have pictures associated whilst others don't leading to an odd visual effect.
The biggest positive change for me was the fact that you no longer need to subscribe to the app in order to read news that is freely available on the Mining Weekly website.
There are some small refinements that will make this app your perfect mining research companion on the go. When I fly I like to catch up on news - provide an option to download current articles for offline reading. If I want to send articles to colleagues or clients give more options than just emailing the link (Whatsapp, Message, Linkedin, Notes etc). Creamer Media has otherwise delivered an excellent update to their app which makes it the premier destination for breaking mining news on your smartphone.
