Editors’ Notes

Easy to understand, quick to set up and slick to use, you can create individual groups for your friends. Originally making its name among videogame players, these days, it’s used by everyone.

When you start discord

Sometimes when you start discord when you see someone playing or like ur sibling playing and it looks fun you get it and like ur sibling invites you to a group and then you get quantified or qant I forgot what it’s called it made me do it for 1 week and now 2 weeks bc I responded late I think bc that’s what my cousin says but it’s not my fault bc I’ve already tried putting on my notifications and it still doesn’t work but after it tho it’s fun in discord after all that stress is off ur shoulders! *little note* thanks for making this app and make sure not to contact random ppl you don’t know unless you get ur parents permission unless ur an adult and if my text is a lil confusing also! But at the end of the day discord is a 5 star ⭐️

Copying worst feature of slack

So threads have just been released. As admin on some servers we’ve been testing it out for the last few hours. Looks like discord has taken the worst feature of slack and tried to copy it. I use these apps for communication. Threads in slack have caused me to miss important Comms (I can’t scroll up constantly to reread stuff just to see if maybe a thread was started. And hate having to ask for pings just to see what I should be seeing anyway!) I’ve had to move my businesses off slack because of “threads” as I cannot risk missing Comms. Now, discord, my gaming Comms “go to” has decided to copy this. Why?? Ease of communication (work or game related) is about ease. I need to trust an app to make it easy for me to stay informed. Till now, discord delivered. Today, discord destroyed that. It took one hour and my servers are a mess. No one knows where to look, what has been read / not. What has been “joined”. I feel sorry for those in different time zones who are only going to see it “tomorrow” their time and won’t figure out why chats are happening that they don’t know about /can’t see.
