Description
eBird Mobile makes it easy to record the birds you see in the field, and seamlessly link these observations with eBird--a global online database of bird records used by hundreds of thousands of birders around the world. This free resource makes it easy to keep track of what you see, while making your data openly available for scientific research, education, and conservation. eBird Mobile is the only app that passes information directly from the iOS device to your eBird account on the web.

Very cool app but agree with the above comment; one can definitely benefit from images accompanying each listed species as well as a distribution map. This will ensure less incorrect sightings as well as keep users more engaged, leading to better retention. Thus in a nutshell, we are visual creatures! Where’s my pictures!😜
Account creation
Yet another app that wants me to create a new account just to get into the app. Not happening…
Many short comings
Not easy/obvious how to enter existing live list.
Incorrect listing/names for Africa.
Default to 1 and then have to change all to x - bad programming.
Would be handy to include ID photos when tapping on bird name, ie to then open a bird ID page.
Linked with Merlin which has no Africa guide and hence not usable for Africa.
