FlipaClip: Cartoon Animation 4+

Pretty good app!

I’ve been using Flipaclip for a year or so! And I say you should get it if you wanna start animating! The only bad I’ve gotten was deleting my pictures, but now I know the reason why! Please support the creators of Flipaclip! Maybe in the future the app will become more popular and better to work with when animating! Thank you to the creators of Flipaclip! You’ve really pushed me to achieving my dream!

Good, but can be great

I’ve had this app for a while but only started using it now. What puts me off, from purchasing the premium features, is that I’m being forced to use the built-in art tools and canvas.

If only they could allow us to import/export each frame, or even a batch of frames, as PSD files, and work in Photoshop or Procreate, etc.
I mean no offense, but the tools are limited and flimsy, at best. Sharing work/project files with the best art apps in the business will really benefit everyone.

BONUS IDEA 1:
When exporting as PSD files, put 2 additional layers in: both being ghost frames, one for the previous frame, and the other for the forthcoming frame (as reference points).

BONUS IDEA 2:
Backgrounds as separate PSD files, or even 3d and other types, could be awesome. Essentially, if the background image can be allowed to be bigger than the focus frame (meaning each background frame doesn’t have to be redrawn or imported, but simply just moved/nudged on).

If anything, the built-in art tools and canvas can be repurposed to plan the project, to rough-sketch ideas and attach notes to each storyboard.

Another thing is that I don’t see any premium feature that allows for saving work files, unless it’s hidden in the share feature, which should really be changed or separated.

I hope these suggestions make sense, or are helpful for future iterations.

Great animation app, would like some more features though

I love using FlipaClip and have been using it since 2016 and I’ve loved to see it grow into the app it is now however in that same period of time many other apps have upgraded their features and usability beyond the standard that I think FlipaClip has, and not to throw shade towards FlipaClip, but I believe some more features would be great.

I do have suggestions FlipaClip team and as a seasoned user of your app I would find them quite helpful.

1. Magic wand- tool for selecting a specific colour only ,be it lineart or filled colour and manipulating it independently to other objects on the frame.i.e that segment can be filled, drawn on, or moved with the lasso tool.
2. Upgrade lasso tool- I do like that the lasso tool now has a perspective function however adding a mesh tool( like a grid) that enables users to manipulate different elements within the lasso will be great.
3.Colour fill for multiple layers- the ability to colour the layer below the lineart will be amazing as it avoids messing up the line work when working with the fill tool.

I think these will just take the app to the next level.
