Notification don't go away

I had to get the app for communication for a specific event. I don't like this app because the notifications never go away although I have went into the app and opened the messages. I have tried to see if I click on the notification when it pops up. But the red number that says how many notifications there are is never going away. It really annoys me.

Hi, if you you left swipe a chats with unread messages and click "read", that should help clear the unread count on the app icon. Please let us know if the issue persists. Thank you!

Pathetic!!!

Most pathetic excuse for an IM service I have ever come across!! Downloaded the app 3 weeks ago!! Still haven't received an activation pin after numerous attempts to register my number n haven't had any response from customer care either!!

Definitely gets my vote for biggest failed attempt at launching an app..
