GSMPBX 4+

IMPORTANT: BEFORE YOU CAN USE THIS APP, YOU WILL REQUIRE AN ACTIVE GSMPBX.
GSMPBX is a cloud-hosted company PBX (switchboard) system that:
- Gives you a landline phone number directly on your cellphone(s)
- Can be set up in minutes with no technical skills needed
- Can be maintained in real-time
- Needs no investment or infrastructure (it uses your existing smartphones,
this makes the total cost of ownership really low compared to hardware-
based VoIP switchboard systems)
- Does not rely on your cellphone data connection to make calls (as
GSMPBX calls are made using real GSM voice calls instead of voice-over-
data)
Unlike with current or “legacy” phone switchboard systems, with GSMPBX you
have:
- no installations
- no site maintenance visits
- no physical phone lines
- no cabling/wiring/reticulation
- no backup power
- no data infrastructure
- no call forwarding to mobile charges
- no dedicated hardware / IP phones
- no technicians
- no maintenance agreements or SLAs
- no interbranch WAN connections
- no jitter or other line quality issues
GSMPBX uses GSM voice calls instead of VoIP: All GSMPBX calls are made
via GSM which gives you a trusted, managed, guaranteed network quality. In
contrast, VoIP calls use a best-effort technology, which is only as good as your
data connection and how well it is managed - and is particularly challenged when
you are not connected to good WiFi. GSMPBX calls your work perfectly no matter
where you are, even way out in the countryside on a sketchy one-bar signal.
GSMPBX call usage is not billed to users’ SIM cards: All Business calls
made by your users from their cellphones using the GSMPBX app are billed to the
company account, so your users will never have to be refunded, or have personal
airtime or data available for company use. (Caveat: like any smartphone app, the
GSMPBX app does use a little data, less than 2Mb per month; this is used for
app-server communication purposes, not to carry calls.)
GSMPBX protects user privacy: The GSMPBX app uses your GSMPBX
company (or “Business”) number(s) for outbound calls, which means even
though your users are using their own smartphones and SIM cards, their personal
privacy and private phone numbers are always protected. In addition, after
hours calls can be sent straight to the company voicemail to further protect
users' personal time.
GSMPBX promotes spend accountability and data sovereignty: Because
the GSMPBX app is smartphone-based, your users use the company account to
make and receive business calls and do not need to be given “cellphone
allowances” as well. This has several other benefits for the business owner too -
you get sight of, and records of, all business calls made from users’ cellphones,
and you also own the numbers these calls are being made from, which can help
retain ownership of your customer if your user leaves your employ.
