Product is decent, app is total garbage. Figured out own workaround for constant crashing
I'm sure everyone has had an issue with the app crashing after logging in without fail. Despite emailing support and getting no response I managed to get it to work. Anyone having the same issue try the following: turn off the wifi, open the app and sign in, then turn wifi on. I've managed to get it to work this way. Needless to say if this wasn't a gift, I would have sent it back after day 1.
App crashes
I use this every day and it works great however you do need relatively fast reliable internet. The sound and image is clear and works with a good range, you can also use it through using your phone as a hotspot if there is no wifi. Again if you use your phone's hotspot to connect the monitor you need to have a strong network connection. The app recently stopped working, it kept crashing when opening. The developers fixed the bug on 5 May 2016 and after I updated to the new version it started working well again until a day or two later when it crashed again after you try to open it. Rather hold off buying this monitor until the bug is fixed. My recommendation if you are a first time buyer and considering using a monitor that relies on Internet/an app: have a backup with an auditory monitor the ones that are not internet/app dependent.
