The South African National Location system
Do you have trouble finding a house or business due to a lack of street names or maps? Do you understand GPS coordinates (-33.926689, 18.418764)? Then get yourself a Wersa code.
A Wersa code is like a postcode only it also knows your GPS coordinates. Just download our App, stand at your property entrance, click on the “Get code” button (bottom left), follow the on-screen instructions. Boom!! You're done. Now share your code with your friends and family.
So, what do they do it? Using our App, they can look up Wersa codes as well. There is a search function near the top of the map on the first screen. There is also a handy address book facility.
What makes Wersa codes so special? They consist of two parts. For example, have a look at Wersa code C1A-1001; C1A an area in Cape Town. The 1001 is a unique grid id somewhere in this area and in this case, the South African Parliament.
