Coming up with unique passwords has never been more important, but remembering them all can sometimes feel impossible. 1Password’s strength is in its simplicity: With a single master password you can secure dozens of website logins, credit card details, Wi-Fi passwords, and much more. It’s a snap to use and offers deep levels of customization that make it an indispensable tool for casual web surfers and power users alike.
A must have
We use it for work, storing thousands of credentials. Gone are the days of lost passwords for service accounts. The web password filler is a great time saver and this function of this type of program is the only safe way to “remember” a password. The browser “remember” feature is insecure, you must use 1Password instead! And using it instead of remembering a bunch of passwords and typing them in manually can also help in cases where someone may be watching what you type. Literally you can use many complex passwords for hundreds of systems and apps and never need to know what the password is. The only thing you need to add on top of 1Password to be reasonably secure is an MFA app. Don’t think this is only for corporate use though, anything that is best practice in a successful business that takes security seriously should also be applied to your personal life to avoid the disappointment of personal account credential takeover.
Essential App
1Password is the first app I install on my Mac and iOS devices. Without doubt the best and most used app I have - providing a simple, easy, effective way to manage my passwords....and more!
It is simply a must have app for every iPhone or iPad user.
Once you use it, you realize how vulnerable you've been using the same password in so many places which is invariably a combination of family names or initials and significant dates! There are programs designed to guess these, all they need is some basic information to get started.... If someone gains access to your password on a particular website, they then have access to the really critical ones. 1Password resolves this by providing a secure encrypted database of passwords and you have the key, remembering only that 1 Password you create.
I also store all my financial information - credit card details, contact numbers for lost cards, scanned copies of the cards, etc.
There is a notes section where I save copies of passports and other important docs. Great for traveling knowing I can access these details in an emergency.
Just buy it! Will be the best money you've spent on an app.
