Description

Legible News Plus is completely free to celebrate the launch of the iOS app! When the promotional period ends, you can get a Plus subscription via In-App purchases.

Legible News makes you smarter. It was built in 2018 to deal with the shortcomings of US-based news organizations. Why do news websites not link directly to source materials? Why do they insist on loading extraneous images, videos, pop-ups, advertisements, and other crazy stuff that gets in the way of reading the news? Is everything really breaking coverage?

DAILY NEWS

Read only the most important global news headlines once per day at exactly 5:00pm. There's no distracting "breaking news alerts", crazy ads, pop-ups, videos, or other insanity. It's just you, the headlines, and lots of contextual links that actually teach you what's happening behind the news.

Read today's headlines for free or subscribe and we'll email it to you.

THE WEEKLY EDITION

Read even less news. Every Friday we take the weeks news, put it on one page, and show it to you so you only have to read the news once per week. That's 52 days out of the year you'll read the news leaving the other 313 days free for you to focus on other more important stuff in your life.

INBOX

Get The Weekly Edition or Today's news delivered directly to your email inbox so you don't even have to open a browser. There's no tracking pixels either so your news remains private.

FOCUS

Turn on focus and when you click on a Wikipedia link, we'll show you just the text so you can stay focused on reading and not get distracted by images, navigation, footers, donation requests (don't worry, we donate $1 of your subscription to Wikimedia), and all the other stuff that appears on Wikipedia pages.

TIME MACHINE

Go back in time and read the news from last week, a year ago, or all the way back to 10 years ago.
