Olarm 4+

App has been giving no connection issues lately. Even though I’m on my WiFi and able to use internet and other apps that require internet, the Olarm sometimes doesn’t allow for access because it gives an error of “unable to connect”. This is the third time in the last 3 weeks that I’ve experienced this problem. Once I couldn’t disarm my house as I didn’t take the remote with me when I left the house. It’s starting to become unreliable. This should be the most reliable app on my phone, especially when I do have WiFi connection. Please sort this out, as this cannot become the norm or the trend, because then it just defeats the purpose of having it.

Awesome to be able to control your alarm system from your phone. I don’t even use my keypad or remotes anymore! Just wish there was integration for Apple HomeKit, HomeBridge or even Siri or Alexa. A bit irritating to have to manually go into the app every time to disarm and arm the house when the rest of my house is automated.

Two really annoying features:
1. When the power goes off and the battery is about to die, the alarm goes off and you can’t turn it off except by disconnecting the battery. A simple “low power” warning would work. With level 5 load-shedding, it happens a lot.
2. The cancel/ disarm button turns on the alarm in the away mode if you press it twice. This happens a lot when multiple family members try to turn an alarm off, or when there is poor internet connectivity.

Somebody sat down and deliberately coded the first one snd the second is probably poor programming and testing.
