Seeing to function as regular as it should but we Netanyahu up for IOS 16 and A.I is becoming more and more predictable maybe you guys could develop a of the radar system to avoid A.I otherwise great browser
Beautiful browser, but a bit too light
Opera has managed to create a browser that fits in with the iOS design language better than Apple has. The “one touch” functionality is slick, and the browser integrates nicely with the Opera desktop browser - offering integrated ad blocking, crypto-mining protection, and the convenient “my flow” functionality.
Unfortunately however there are still a few more additions required before this browser can compete with Safari. It’s all the little things that you take for granted when you’re on a well established browser, but you suddenly start noticing they’re missing on a browser like this.
Search suggestions in the search bar for one. Things like a reader mode. Private/Incognito mode? I’m not even sure if there’s a “find in page” functionality in place. You’ll notice more and more as you use it.
I’m not sure if this is indeed perhaps what Opera was going for? A very light, simple browser? If so then I suppose they’ve accomplished that, but if they were trying to give us an alternative to Safari - then I’m certainly rooting for them and I believe there’s a lot of potential in the product.
Opera for desktop is my favorite desktop browser - I’d love to see Opera Touch improve to the point that it’s my favourite iOS browser.
Poor “for you” category
I will be uninstalling the app, since the “for you” section is not customisable. The content shown is africa propaganda and not relevant to me or my choices. It is not inclusive to my population group nor racial preferences.
Opera had one chance to have an extra user (probably up to 15 extra if I count the family) yet it chose to have an attitude of “take it or leave it”. Opera will live on long after my passing, and my silent protest will have absolutely no impact, effects or relevance to its existence.
