PlantIn: Plant Snap Identifier 4+

This has help me find so many little baby weeds in the garden and discover which are poisonous, which are just weeds & which are actual plants. It even identified a tiny thumb sized “weed” as a cherry tomato plant (seeds must have blown over). Planted it and now we have a delicious thriving cherry tomato plant. I would have otherwise chucked away.

This app works nothing like the advertised app on social media. On numerous occasions I have tried to see what is wrong with my plant, eg leaves turning brown, so that I can see what caused it for example over watering etc etc. There are always three possible things it may be and it never is any of the suggested ‘diseases’. I have only ever gotten a cause as being a possible disease and never something like over watering, too much sun or anything like that. The identification works around 90% of the time which is a plus otherwise a waste of money when it comes to assistance with problem solving plants not in optimum health.

I signed up for this app to give it a try with the free trial, it forces you to choose a renewal option, so I chose the minimum with the option to remind me to cancel before being charged if I didn’t want to continue. I scanned one plant, wasn’t happy with the app results so cancelled before renewal. My card was charged. I emailed the app, responded to their email that yes, I did want to cancel, only to have my ticket closed due to my “non response”. The next week, charged again….emailed again, still no resolution.
