Crazy CPU usage

When a Slack window is visible on my desktop it drains the laptop battery incredible quickly. It is the highest energy impact process by far. The main culprit seems to be Slack Helper (GPU), which doesn't even seem to actually use the GPU, just 35% of the CPU. Disabling hardware acceleration does nothing to fix this. Really annoying as Slack is essential to our work team, but this means that I am limited to an hour or two away from a charger on a brand new macbook pro that would otherwise have amazing battery life.

Developer Response ,

Hi there! We'd be interested in hearing more about this issue. When you have a moment, please navigate to your app's "You" tab - "Preferences" - "Send Feedback" to flag this with our support team and provide some logs we'll need to investigate. We'll be happy to help! Thanks,

Dark Mode Gone?

I am up to date with my Mac software and yet, I cannot locate the dark mode option anywheree anymore. I do not like the 'Clean' version as it's too bright. Please bring the Dark Modee for Slack back.

Developer Response ,

Sorry for any confusion here! On the latest version of the app, you should be able to find dark mode under Preferences > Themes.

App crash and i can't use slack anymore after the latest update

This app is crashing even fresh install it crashes

Developer Response ,

Our apologies for the trouble here! It sounds like you're running into a known issue that popped up with version 4.10.0 which was causing some users to see similar crashes. We've since released version 4.10.1 which contains a fix to address this, so an update to your app should get you back up and running.
