Most functional
Thanks for this most functional online connection speed tester. Use it often to test different networks. The speed-o-meter lay out is easy to use and gives a clear uncomplicated indication of download and upload speed and more.
One trick pony!!!😒
I have used Ookla Speedtest for as long as I can remember and it has been my go to speed test app for some time. However, the reason for my low rating is that instead of using its leadership position to continue to add much needed features SpeedTest has remained a one trick pony.
Simply put, the new crop of speed test apps offer more. The lack of a calculator, as in SpeedSmart, that shows transfer times at a chosen down/up-link rate is one such omission. Another is a list of how long it would take to download different media at your current speed as in SpeedChecker.
Without these features I see no reason for keeping this app.
Long time user - deserves a bump
To anyone who gave this a low score, you obviously just climbed out from under whatever primordial ooze you called a connection because this has and will always be the go to for application based speed checks. It’s not what you review your isp on it’s merely a guideline.
Don’t blame the tools, blame the user.
