Ratings and Reviews
Tempest Weather Station in Southern Hemisphere
Overall the device appears to work really well, however, there appears to be a problem in the display of wind direction. I mounted the device with the solar panels pointing true north, i.e. toward the Equator as I am in the Southern Hemisphere . I then adjusted the wind direction offset by 180degrees. This got the wind vane dial on the screen to correctly indicate the wind direction yet the text next to the dial never corrects itself for the 180degree adjustment. I checked this multiple times during sustained winds. This indicates to me that either the App needs a fix, or, the firmware needs a fix, I do not believe there is a physical problem with the device.
