Remember the time-tested adage – you get what you pay for!
It's time-tested for a reason.
In the App world, you can easily find things that might work, or could work, if you retrofit them. But the savings in price comes at a greater cost: Wasted time and overly complicated solutions.

Visual Impact 3 gives you the ability to quickly create multimedia task instructional sequences, social stories and visual modeling vignettes for nearly any activity! Visual Impact 3 is the latest in the family of visual modeling Apps from AbleLink Technologies, beginning in 1995 with our handheld prompting App Pocket Coach. This newest version has been re-written from the ground up to support larger instructional libraries, video creation and import capabilities, task duplication, and full Retina support
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR GETTING STARTED: To access the Settings area on the App's main screen, you must tap and HOLD the “i” button in the upper right corner for at least 5 seconds. This is by design, to prevent accidental taps.
Visual Impact 3 provides easy step-by-step multimedia instructions for use by anyone needing a simple support to perform daily tasks of all kinds. Make a grilled cheese sandwich by yourself, learn important personal skills for applying for a job, or how to take your own blood pressure at home! Visual Impact 3 enables you to create your own custom step-by-step task instructions for any activity by adding pictures and videos from your photo library or taking new photos or videos as you build the task steps. You can also record your own verbal instructions to go along with each step. You can edit any multimedia tasks that you have previously created to personalize the learning activities with new pictures, videos, additional steps, or updated audio cues.
After instructional task sets are created with Visual Impact 3, they are available on the App's home screen for immediate use. Each task contains visual and auditory prompts with an easy-to-navigate interface for self-directed use. You can choose which tasks to show and which ones to hide on the Visual Impact display to customize your task library for different users who may be sharing the same device.
Customizing Visual Impact 3:
An important feature of any program designed to be used by individuals representing a wide range of cognitive abilities is the ability to modify the user interface to meet the specific needs of each person. Visual Impact 3 provides multiple customization options so you can modify the user interface to match the individual's preferences.
Visual Impact 3 utilizes the AbleLink Instructional Media Standard (AIMS), AbleLink's award-winning step-by-step multimedia training system which applies universal design principles to provide accessible multimodal instruction using visual and auditory media. AbleLink Technologies is a leader in developing practical tools for daily living for persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, short-term memory loss, and age-related cognition issues.
