Fantastic app!

The app is great and works so nice and smoothly. The only issue I find is the Werble watermark is way to big, it takes up a huge majority of the picture... other than that the app is amazing! Can’t wait for more FX to be added. Also it would be great if you could also edit videos not only pictures. One last thing is that once it saves to your phone & you resend it on other apps the quality reduces quite a bit. (Depending on the app.) I hope there is a way to fix that since I’m one to use WhatsApp on a daily biases. Best of luck! This app is definitely a keeper.

Thank you for the wonderful feedback! It really means a lot to us that you are enjoying our app as we are working very hard on it! 😊

>> To remove the watermark, please tap the watermark itself in the editor, or tap "Remove Watermark" either in the Settings menu or at the bottom of the sharing menu when it pops up.

You'll be shown a screen with a price button - there is a small one time charge to permanently remove the watermark. Tap the button once and then twice to confirm the purchase, following the instructions onscreen. When the purchase completes, the watermark should disappear forever and you'll be good to go! Please let us know if you have any problems! 😄
>> Further to your request of wanting to import videos: currently Werble is designed to import only still images. However, in the future we will most likely add the ability to import live photos, short videos and possibly animated GIFs. Our focus remains on short seamlessly looping content, but this functionality will add more creative power and flexibility. As far as export, we also plan on allowing Werble to add sound or music.

>>And in terms of quality loss: The quality bottleneck is usually determined by the social network or app that you are sharing it through, because most of these networks or apps will actually recompress the video/GIF that Werble creates in the process of sending it.

Werble produces very high quality results - you can verify this by looking in your camera roll at the actual file that is automatically saved there when you share (or by airdropping it to a Mac for further inspection). This is the file that Werble produces and this is what is effectively handed off to the social network or third party app. At that point the social platform or app will often recompress the file in order to make it smaller and save bandwidth. Make sure Werble quality settings 'Final Resolution' and 'Final Quality' are maximised based on what your device can handle and you will be giving the social network the best possible starting point for their compression.

The sharing quality is thus unavoidably dependent on quality settings in the third party app, sharing mechanism or platform, or on the quality level those platforms provide. By way of example, in Facebook, one should always make sure that 'Upload HD' is on for videos. In addition, some platforms will actually make multiple copies of the file, and then serve them to viewers at different quality depending on their network connection speed - Twitter and Instagram do this for example. This can mean that the video looks better for some people (viewing on high speed WiFi) and worse for others (viewing on 3G cellular). You may also have to refresh the post to get access to the high resolution version (Instagram). Furthermore, the compression quality used by the third party network may also depend on your connection speed - therefore we always recommend sharing from a good wifi connection to ensure the best quality recompression.

Lastly, we have a sharpen tool which can be used to improve final quality. We often find that sharpening the base photo at least a little bit (don't go too far though) can work well to offset the inevitable softening that results when social networks recompress the video, and produce a better final result when shared.

Regarding GIF - bear in mind that GIFs are limited to 256 colours and are therefore unavoidably lower quality than videos. You can experiment with the different GIF export size options that were added in Werble v1.2.3. Often, producing a slightly smaller GIF can increase the perceived quality because those 256 colours can more accurately represent your creation. Do let us know if you have any other questions - simply send our customer service a direct message. Shake your device whilst in Werblapp and send a message through. We look forward to hearing from you!

Needs a SAVE function

While I’m a huge fan of the artistic abilities of this app, we need to be able to save our progress. It is a huge setback for folks who need to constantly update and scour for material. Is there any particular reason this function has not been able to be included?

Developer Response ,

💜Thank you for your message!

I'm happy to report that we do plan to add the ability to save/load projects, and also to implement an "auto-save" function to make this process as convenient as possible and safeguard against losing work.

Please bear in mind that iOS can arbitrarily decide to kill apps that are put into the background (if other apps in the foreground require more memory, iOS can kill backgrounded apps to free memory). Therefore, in the meantime, you should avoid leaving unfinished Werbles live in the editor with Werble in the background whenever possible.

Thank you for your patience while we continue to improve and add new features to Werble.😊 👍
