THE AUTHOR
Steve Woodhall is a butterfly enthusiast and photographer who began studying butterflies at an early age. He is the former President of the Lepidopterists’ Society of Africa, and has authored several books on butterflies, among them Living Butterflies of Southern Africa, Field Guide to Butterflies of South Africa, What’s that Butterfly? and Gardening for Butterflies.

What a fabulous addition to butterfly identification and distribution. Stunning photos and text and love the option to compare similar species. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
Wonderful
Would have given this five stars because like the book quality of photos and info fantastic. However, the searches need tweaking and improving. E.g. while having KZN region selected and couldn’t get a smoky orange tip to come up in the search. A few more issues like this fixed would make this great.
