SOVS2 - Pose Camera

Don't explain, just SHOW it!

A photograph that gets everything just right. It can be elusive for even the most talented of shutterbugs. Photography utopia requires a faultless composition of the perfect lighting on each face, good angles and a gorgeous background, all taken from the ideal distance; but really, who has the time or patience for all of that?

Perhaps this was why the photography app SOVS, released in December 2017, instantly resonated with a lot of users. It featured various silhouette poses onscreen that subjects could mimic, which meant you could confidently ask another person to take your photo knowing that the setup was on point.

About a year later, in November 2018, SOVS2 was unveiled on the App Store and it’s taken the original concept to new heights.

SOVS2 covers more areas, guiding randomly commissioned photographers to take great photos of couples, families and generally all photos with multiple people in focus.

Choose a pose that works for two.

With the ability to support up to four people in a photo, SOVS2 displays the appropriate number of silhouettes onscreen to serve as a guide when setting up your shot. The app offers different combinations and packs to choose from depending on the number of people, themes and perspectives. The size and position of silhouettes can be adjusted too.

Although we are camera app developers, we are first and foremost people who really enjoy taking photos. We have such a great time figuring out all the angles and perspectives, and choosing the best ones.

Subjects are in position; poses are perfect; filter is on. You’re good to snap!

Once you’ve chosen your silhouette, tap the Filter icon and swipe across the screen to cycle through the various options. Select the ambiance that suitably matches the pose and all that’s needed then is to commission a passer-by.

Gone are the days of everyone awkwardly squirming around trying to find their optimal position in a group photo. SOVS2 has everyone’s best angle sorted.
