Film Finder recommends you films based on your preferences. Our mission is to save you time, to facilitate your enjoyment, and to connect you with your family and friends through film.
What are the features?
MY COLLECTIONS – Find exactly what you’re looking for
- Create a collection of recommendations by adding genres, actors, crew members, and tags based on your mood
- Rate films using the ‘thumbs up’ or ‘thumbs down’ features. This helps us provide better film recommendations to you in the future
- Every film card has key information to help you decide e.g., rating, genre, summary, cast, and crew
- You can also watch the film trailers, save films to your watchlists, and share them with friends and family
PROFILE - Manage your watchlists, liked films, and more
- Add films to your watchlist via the profile page or the ‘my collections’ page by clicking the ‘save’ button
- Want to keep track of what you’ve watched, add films to the ‘films you've seen’ section!
SEARCH - Search for specific films, cast members, and crew members (e.g., film directors)
- Find film cards by searching for titles
- Find actor and crew profiles by searching their names
HOME PAGE - Discover popular and trending films
- This page contains general film recommendations and it also contains personalised film recommendations based on your profile
NOTIFICATIONS - Get your latest updates and alerts
- Stay up to date with what’s going on by visiting the notifications section

Version 2.0.1
We’ve added a home page with sections for trending films, trending actors, and top picks which are personalised recommendations based on your taste
The search page now has tabs, allowing you to filter between films, actors, and crew members
The ‘Reels’ page and ‘Recs’ page have now been merged to form the ‘My Collections’ page. Instead of fiddling with drop-downs on what was the ‘reels’ page, you can now just input actors and crew members into the search bar on the ‘my collections’ page and then click 'go'.
Rating: Not sure if a film was three stars or four stars? Don’t fret, with our new update, we only need to know whether you liked a film or not to provide you with decent recommendations.
Similar films: There is now a similar films section at the end of every film card; allowing you to discover great films even easier than ever!
