Anchor Watcher is a useful application that will help you monitoring your position, see the drifting track and check the weather condition while you are enjoying your time sailing.

Easy to use, you need just to choose your monitor distance and Anchor Watcher will fire an alarm when your position will be out of the range, you can have the application in background, Anchor Watcher will send you a notification, so you won’t miss it.

The weather data are collected from buoys and ships around the world and can gives you very useful information about:

• Wind speed and direction
• Wave height, period and direction
• Temperature of the air and water
• Pressure
• Tide
• Visibility

Anchor Watcher doesn't need an Internet connection in order to monitor your location, however you need it to fetch maps and the buoys and ships info, after that you fetched them you will be able to continue to use them offline.

We do our best to optimize the use of the location services too keep low the battery consumption, however you have to be aware that: "Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life."
