What’s New

Version 3.2.1

Your new mind is getting better. We listened to your feedback and we have another update ready for you. This version also contains some minor bug fixes for iPad from the 3.2 release.

— NEW ICONS: We added three new custom app icons. If you're a Mastermind member, you'll be able to choose from even more custom app icons. We hope you like them.

— NEW DETAIL VIEW: We completely overhauled the detail views for media. This means IMAGES, VIDEOS, GIFs and PDFs should now open faster and more smoothly on mobile. We also made images display larger by default. As a result, we had to remove the color palette as it was interfering and took up too much space. We might bring it back in the future on mobile.

— ZOOM VIEW: You can now zoom into images and PDFs. Just single tap an image/PDF and you can open it in our new media viewer. It works exactly like you'd expect it to work.

— SAME VIBE: Our new Same Vibe feature is now also available on mobile, for Mastermind members only. Just open an image, and tap the [...] icon in the top right corner.

— DOWNLOAD ORIGINAL: You can now download the original image, video or PDF when tapping the [...] icon in the top right corner.

— More performance improvements and bug fixes, as always!

Quite smart actually

I wasn’t sure if this app would really execute on its concept but after putting my faith in it for about 2 weeks it has slowly become what it said it would be. Once you save enough things, you can search for pretty much anything and it’ll come up. The automatic tagging system is actually quite good at picking up on patterns and associations in searches once you give it enough info to work with. It was strange watching it transform. It was like the moment the music streaming service’s algorithm finally starts tol play good music. I realized I can just dump stuff into this thing and anytime I want to find something of a particular kind later, it will be there to pop up. It took awhile to really get the concept. It’s not google images but it is a personal google images for images you have added. Which doesn’t mean much until after you’ve added like at least a couple dozen things. It has a strange learning curve but I think I see the potential value in it.

really good! hoping for more features!

I really enjoy using this app. I like using the app to write down things I want to remember to look into and it works pretty well overall. There’s a few features that I think could really be useful for navigating the app and just stuff I think would be neat. A filter-by function within the main page and the search engine would make it even easier to find notes your looking for. Being able to pin notes of great importance to the top of your main page would be a god-send if you don’t want to go through the hassle of searching. And something I just think would be really cool is a linked notes function, so that the notes can build off eachother, think something like email reply chains. Looking forward to seeing more developments and again, i’d really love to see any of these features!

Please, don’t give up - even when the note-scape changes

-Tech these days is all about productivity and usability. But, we primal humans will always notice a thing created in beauty. An app. A person. A relationship. A poem. It doesn’t matter. We are programmed to be responsive to the thing which captivates our collective senses. Love is an example.

This app does that. It’s not that it makes me more productive, more efficient, or more responsive. But - it does make me more aware of the beauty that exists in people, particularly the beauty of creating beauty. That’s what Tobias et al have done with this app. I really wish people would wake up to their first mind, the one that silently guides them when the developed mind fails. I have a PhD, and am proud to say this app thrives because of its of emphasis on the aesthetic, sacramental, sensual value - the same I see in apple, Bose, and Australian home design.

Keep on keeping on you guys, and please - don’t stop when the tech tide changes again. Cheers.
