app won’t load (been a week)

As others have said, the transition to another app for FIGFCU seemed completely unnecessary. The app works fine, WHEN it works. About a week ago I tried to log into the app, I typed in my correct password and it loaded as if it was going to bring me to the main page of my account, but instead I was met with a white screen. I tried again, and again, and again, and I kept being met with the same white screen. I restarted my phone, I deleted and reinstalled the app, and it still is not working. Since I reinstalled the app, it won’t even let me log in. I click on the app and it says “An unexpected network error has occurred. Please try again later.” And I have been getting that messages for days. I need to view and access my money. I have bills to pay. Thankfully I can still access it through a browser, but what’s the point of the app if it is not making it easier and more convenient for me to check my accounts? I would love for somebody to contact me about this, I asked my dad who also has accounts through FIGFCU about a week ago and he said his app was working fine, so it might just be me. My phone is an iPhone X, so it’s not very old or anything. I don’t know if anybody else has also been met with this problem. I don’t wasn’t to call Farmers, and I don’t think they’d be able to help even if I did.

Poorly managed debut, inconsistent performance

The rollout was disappointing, with poor communication regarding proper steps to take to seamlessly transfer biller information.

There have been service issues lately, most importantly with the ability to transfer funds and pay bills. I had to use my BofA credit card to pay a bill instead of simply sending an EFT payment which is inconvenient at the least.

When it IS working, the biller history and bill pay functionality is, sadly, not intuitive.

The rollout to this new app has led me and my wife to be more inconvenienced with what should be a simple task of paying bills. She’s considering moving her accounts to another bank, which is sad because her father set her up with her account over 30 years ago when he worked for Farmers. I’m a current employee, so the automatic payroll process is in play. But I’m also tempted to move.

…. And after 34 years Farmers finally got me to leave

The rule with change management- match the features of the old app in all respects and exceed it in at least one way. FIGFederal failed that test. The new app may be more of “cost savings” to FIGFederal but to the credit union members its a net negative. There are many competing banks and credit unions that offer better rates and better services.

**Update** with the Farmers hack and disabling the send payments and what little bill pay functionality it has - It’s clear that you guys have no clue what you are doing. I cannot allow my finances to remain with a credit union that makes such decisions and has this level of irresponsibility. This new app has forced me to dump by FIG Federal account of 34 years.
