I'm enjoying this app. Has many useful courses including the free ones. It's just attached materials don't save sometimes or if I open a document and switch between apps it would close the document back - so it takes time to open it again and search the page I was last time on.P.S. wrote this review few years back and basically nothing changed since then. The problem is not solved.
Some bugs in the app

Udemy platform is my best source of online learning, anyhow there is some problems in the app, when you send the app to the background the content will keep playing which is a good thing but the problem when you bring the app again to the front you will find the video become a black screen while audio will keep playing and you have to open another video then open the video you want to watch again, this issue is happening on both iphone and ipad.Also not to mention the offline content issues.

These are both known issues that is impacting some users of the Udemy app. Our the engineering team are working on a fix for them. Please keep an eye on future app updates which may include bug fixes and app improvements. In the meantime, we would recommend staying in the video while viewing it to avoid the screen turning black. As for the issue with the offline viewing, please try viewing the downloaded content in Airplane/Flight Mode. If this doesn't work, you may remove the affected content and then re-download the lectures. This time, however, please download lectures/sections individually, rather than downloading the whole course at once. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
Decent courses but awful captions

The courses are decent, but theirs a major issue with the captions making it hard to follow some of the videos. Most of the instructors are non-native English speakers which is not the issue. The real issue is with their speech-to-text software which very awful and gets most of the words and especially the technical terms wrong, making the captions almost useless.Why not require the lecturers to provide captions for their own videos?! This would improve accessibility for both learners and lecturers.
App is not working on IPhone

I recently downloaded the app to enroll for a course I came across on Facebook. However, the search functionality does not seem to work at all. After I downloaded the app and tried searching for the course, it did not throw back any results and kept showing me the search icon. Additionally, when I try to use the Featured or Explore course functionalities, the pages are blank. I even tried to sign in and out of the app, but facing the same challenges. I am accessing this app on an IPhone. Would appreciate if you can guide me on how to resolve this as I can’t seem to find any relevant answers in the help/support forum.
