HOW WE GET YOU OFF HINGE
When it comes to online dating, people are so busy matching that they’re not actually connecting, in person, where it counts. Hinge is on a mission to change that. So we built an app that’s designed to be deleted. Here’s how:
* We quickly learn your type. You’ll only be introduced to the best people for you.
* We give you a sense of someone’s personality. You’ll get to know potential dates through their unique answers to prompts, as well as information like religion, height, politics, dating intentions, relationship type, and much more.
* We make it easy to start a conversation. Every match begins by someone liking or commenting on a specific part of your profile.
* We want you to feel confident about meeting people in person. Selfie Verification makes it easier for daters on Hinge to ensure that they are who they say they are.
* We ask how your dates are going. After exchanging phone numbers with a Match, we’ll follow up to hear how your date went so we can make better recommendations in the future.
The app is free to use. Members looking to see everyone who likes them or send unlimited likes can upgrade to Hinge+. To access additional features, including enhanced recommendations and priority likes, we offer HingeX.

Met a guy

I actually met a guy here. I was not really expecting anything when I downloaded the app during the winter break in uni. The first date I’ve ever had here with this guy was great, like genuinely. Maybe I was just lucky. Now, a couple months in, and we’re still seeing each other. Words cannot express how grateful I am to meet him, and even though our relationship rn is premature, I’m glad that Hinge made us connect with each other. We live in different worlds, so there would be a very small percentage of us meeting in real life. That’s why I thank this app. If God allows, may this man stay with me for longer, where we can go through difficulties and work together to combat challenges. Hinge does work y’all, you just need some patience, and a heck ton of luck. I was just really lucky to have met someone here for the first time, and we also just immediately clicked. He was is first date on this apl. Anyways, I could yap more, but yoy got the gist. I even had some other friends go on board and try Hinge and they’re also going on dates. Seriously, its great. Just be careful with your heart and have fun in the process💕

Downloaded hinge as a dare from friends. Met this guy and its funny cause i never believed or trust anyone in the dating app hahaha but then it all started from ‘I swear I knew you’ from him, and it got me curious about how does he know me?!! well we went out on a date after that HAHAHA cause I responded with ‘how’ and he said ‘you look a lot like my future girlfriend’ I thought that was cringe but anyways!! We started talking and going deep without setting up to meet each other yet (cause dude i wanna make sure this guy wont kidnap me). It went well! we meet up, had a good time and I ended up falling inlove and so is he!! Our values connected. He never cheated, never did anything wrong, and the best thing that happened to us is, God. We weren’t Christians when we met, but a sudden change in our relationship was falling inlove with Jesus. ITS A LONG STORY (I was an atheist lol and then Jesus saved me). BUT nowww we are married! like married married. And we’ve been together for almost 3 years! Road to forever.
Terrible platform and lack of customer support

I recently got banned due to the algorithm thinking I was under 18 (I’m 25). I’ve tried submitting an appeal and I’ve been met with some of the worst customer support I’ve ever experienced. Replies are days and sometimes weeks apart, unresolved issues and being asked to submit my DRIVERS LICENSE for proof of age (private information which they keep in their database). I submitted my ID to Socure (recommended by Hinge and Melissa the Trust and safety worker), they couldn’t “verify” my ID but the ID is still in their database along with all of my information. So they farm and keep my data (which I no longer give permission to use) but they deny me using their platform? So far there has been no resolution and support has not responded. Also the women on there are the absolute worst, they don’t want the human interaction they want the validation and attention. This is a huge waste of my time as someone who’s looking for a connection. A new policy should be implemented where all accounts automatically delete after 6 months, and you have to make the account again and match with people again in order to keep the time wasters off. That way if you only have 6 months to make a connection you’d take it more seriously. Otherwise risk loosing all your matches and free attention/validation.
We made performance improvements which means you may end up deleting our app even sooner than you intended.
