more I have tried every single task manager on the planet. That might be an exaggeration, but only small one. GoodTask beats them all. Here’s two ways it excels.First, its high degree of customizability. Plan on taking a couple of hours to get familiar with the different settings and set it up the way you want it. Once you do, you’ll love it. The ability to have different default views for different lists, and to have those defaults sync between desktop and mobile, is so nice. I don’t understand why the app allows you to make smart lists for days but not hours. I don’t need to see what’s happening late tonight when I’m getting through work stuff in the morning.

## Multiple Task Alerts
- Add multiple alerts to a task using General or Advanced date settings.
- Choose a fixed date and time, or an alert before, at, or after the due date. Relative alerts follow changes to the due date.
- Configure default alerts under Settings > New Task > Alerts.
## Notification Sounds and Voice
- Import your own notification sounds and enable Read Title to hear task titles aloud.
- Choose a voice, adjust Speaking Rate and Playback Order, and preview your settings under Settings > General > Notifications > Sound.
- On iPhone and iPad with iOS 27, customize sounds and spoken titles separately for normal and urgent notifications.

## New Live Mode
- Notifications received while GoodTask is open now appear in a compact panel with your configured snooze options.
- Opening GoodTask from a task notification shows the same panel.
- Snoozing starts Live Mode, with a dedicated panel floating above the View Bar.
- Snoozing directly from a system notification also starts Live Mode. The panel appears when GoodTask is opened.
- View task details, complete subtasks or tasks, hide the panel, or close Live Mode.
- A matching Live Activity appears on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, with task completion available directly from it.
- Start Live Mode manually from the Smart Button by tapping the Live Mode control or swiping left.
- Manual Live Mode is available while viewing a list and cycles through upcoming tasks and events scheduled for today.
