Playback now pauses during a phone call, alarm or Siri and resumes on its own afterwards. Previously the screen could keep saying "Playing" while the sound had stopped. After you stop playback or the sleep timer ends, ATMÓS now rests in the background instead of staying awake, saving battery. Also improved: weather stays accurate when the connection drops, more reliable search suggestions, and data source credits.

ATMÓS now runs on iOS 15, including iPod touch (7th generation). On iOS 15, weather data comes from Open-Meteo. On iOS 16 and later, ATMÓS continues to use Apple Weather.

Location suggestions now show the prefecture or state, so places that share a name — such as Tachikawa in Tokyo, Kyoto and Kumamoto — can be told apart. Improvements The current-location button now uses a map pin icon. The search field opens the English keyboard, and the keyboard slides over the screen instead of shrinking it. The SEARCH button now brings up the keyboard and suggestions right away. Suggestions no longer pop open for the placeholder city or a random city.

Weather data now comes from Apple Weather — the same service that powers the built-in Weather app — so the conditions ATMÓS listens to match what you see there. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where the weather was not refreshed when reopening the app, so an old condition could stay on screen. The weather now updates whenever ATMÓS returns to the foreground. Fixed an issue where the weather description and the scene shown below it could disagree.
