Compare to the apple map and google map, which work so bad in Korea, the naver map can show the right transfers information and find the destination in the area nearby. However, it cannot find the accurate point of destination. The accuracy of the gps seems not too good. So at the crossing of the road it is so hard to recognize the right way.

Eine Möglichkeit zum Wechsel in die englische Sprache lässt sich nicht finden. Daher ist die App für mich nicht nutzbar.

This app is incredibly useless. At least, the app didnt understand the importance of user experience, nor did it understand that non-korean people use this app.- if you search in English, only a selection of results are shown. Absolutely no reason why.- if your phone or app is set to english, but you miraculously are able to speak and write the korean language, you will not find places when you type in korean. Example: If your phone or app is set to english, you cant find the district insadong by its original name 인사동 - only in the english spelling „insadong“. If you are unlucky and the westernized spelling is more complex, good luck finding the place - you will have to guess the western spelling (and probably fail because in most cases its not as obvious as insadong).- in a similar fashion, there are genius places, that have an english name, which is not directly westernized from korean. Since you cant search the place in korean, you will not be able to find the place, unless the registered english name is unknown to you. - unless you search for a perfectly matching term, you will have difficulties finding places. example: there is a place called „gaeseongmandu koong“ which stands for „gaesong dumpling palace“. You will not find this place unless you explicitly search for (unknown) specific combinations of search terms. Try finding it by eg „gaeseong mandu insadong“, which would be a quite obvious search terms for this place. Youd have to use the name „koong“ or youd have to be VERY generic and search for „dumpling insadong“ and somehow find in the list of dumpling places all over insadong. How stupid.
Unreliable and nearly unusable for international users

I used Naver Maps to plan my trip to Korea and created an account just for that. Out of nowhere, my account was suspended without any warning or explanation. I didn’t violate any terms, I simply saved places using the bookmark feature and tried to book activities.Customer support is almost impossible to reach. All my saved locations are now gone.If you’re not living in Korea or don’t have a Korean phone number, don’t expect help. Extremely disappointing and not trustworthy for travelers.
