App is great - product set up not so

The design of the app is great really easy to use and intuitive to customer behaviour.

I have some feedback about the account product it’s self and how it works with the spending analysis. I’ve set up multiple ‘accounts’ but I always make payments into my main account, the one that was set up when I first joined. I make payments into this and then transfer it into one of my other accounts e.g ‘my account’ to ‘Christmas 2021’. I don’t think that payments between accounts should be included in the monthly spending graph because it’s not a true reflection of what I have spent, it is just transfers between my accounts.

I only realised that the accounts were truly separate when I received a statement for each account. I don’t like this and think that Monzo’s pots approach is much better. You have one main account statement and then pot balances are summarised at the bottom of the statement. I know that Direct Debits are on their way which will be great and might encourage people to make chase their main account. Personally I would be hesitant to make this my main account, I can imagine the extreme separation of accounts would make it confusing when it comes to evidencing income and spending for things like mortgage applications.

One thing I do love is the rewards - thank you!

Keeps getting better!

I’ve been using Chase since the day it started in the UK. Originally had a number of annoyances with it, but over the past few weeks, Chase have really ironed those out. This is turning out to be an amazing banking experience. Here are a few things I would like to see fixed in coming updates:

1. Sign up to Current Account Switching Scheme.

2. Start Direct Debits asap. I cannot fully use Chase as my main bank until this is done.

3. I use FaceID to login, but why is it when I set up a new Payee, I have to enter my 6 digit pin to verify? Makes no sense.

4. Under recent transactions it shows “From” and “To” for every single transaction. This is an eyesore, please just show it as the payee name.

5. Include the ability to add a custom profile image to Payees. Currently is shows as their initials, but this looks wrong.

6. Currently once you create a new Payee, and choose not to send money, the entire Payee is deleted. Highly annoying when your are simply trying to create all your payees for future reference. Also the Reference Number seems to need to be entered each time. Why can’t it just remember it?

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for all your feedback. We are glad you are enjoying our app so far. We are working on bringing Direct Debits soon and we will pass all your feedback onto our app developers.

Potential is there

App works well. It is simple to use. It would be excellent to have Google Pay and Apple Pay etc. Just like in the USA. Love the idea of a numberless card feels more secure, and perhaps reduce wasted on ordering ’lost’ cards.
It does lack a lot of features compared to many other banks and cards. Whilst I am sure there’s much more in the works, may I suggest that helps me, being the function to ‘re-arm’ the card (this is a function similar to a Bank beginning with R). Essentially you reset the contactless card limit. This means you don’t have to put on pin in a terminal or ATM. I am aware GPay/Apple Pay doesn’t have the contactless limitation.
If you want a simple payment card without the fuss and function you don’t need this is it. With a passive (numberless card) & active (freeze card, card controls etc.) security, this can’t be beaten. The cash back is also very good shame it last a year.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback! We do currently offer Apple Pay through the app. We’re glad you are enjoying the app so far. We will pass this idea onto our developers.
