I’ve been using VSCO for 9 years since 2014, a really long period and the app plays a critical role to my photo editing, went on trips with me, and helped me nail my projects. It’s been super disappointing to know that VSCO has, without notice to its valued community, upgraded to a version where I felt users that don’t pay for subscription are simply not respected to be able to edit anything. The exclusive function to paste your old edits onto new artwork is now gone and it made users so much more handicapped than before. I’ve also come to notice that most of my favorite functions are now locked, not sure if the lock is indeed tailored (targeted) individually. All in all the membership is small money, but it’s the genuine respect that comes within your decision to charge, how you’re trying to inform your users, and how you’re to retain your once-loyal customers if they still decide to not pay for a subscription (you won’t want to force them to leave?). I believe new users who just downloaded VSCO would feel as inconvenient as we already do, while loyal ones are struggling to remain.
We're sorry to hear you're having issues with accessing certain presets and tools. We've made some updates which means some presets and tools are now part of our membership offering. Please check out our membership benefits https://vsco.help/MembershipFAQ. Thank you for using VSCO.
