I had this app for a while it was good but kept connecting to Netherland and kept lagging and we need to pay to choose servers but it was fine… But it’s been a few days since this problem occurred.. My vpn takes A LOT of time to connect and then show disconnect, so I tired windscribe WHICH was better than this but it has a 10GB limit each month, which means I gotta wait a hole month cuz I’m a gamer and that limit is way too less but this couldn’t connect so I tried many other vpns but none of them worked as well as this but now this has a problem…. Plus when I’m connecting google or any other app doesn’t work and it takes forever to connect tooPls fix this issue Thanks

While this app offers a perfect VPN but it keeps on connecting to Netherlands. Moreover, the change server feature in free tier almost always does not work, as it connects to Netherlands server again! 8/10 times it won't connect at all on 5G mobile data, works well with WiFi

Thank you for the feedback. Could you share more details about the connection issue when using mobile data? What is your ISP? Are you receiving any error messages? Contact us through the “Report an issue” option in the app menu so we can help you troubleshoot. Meanwhile, try changing the connection protocol to see if there's any improvement.On another note, the default Connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you. This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. That said, you still have the option to switch to another randomly allocated server, meaning the new server may not necessarily be in a different country. You may consider upgrading your plan in order to connect to a specific server in a country of your choice.

Thank you for responding, after the update patch, connection and web surfing speeds have become fine, glad that my voice was heard, it has strengthened my faith in the dev team again, i thought proton was suddenly becoming a rich guy profit focused company, glad to see that voices are being heard and issues are being addressed. Kudos to the dev team and proton, please keep up connecting the people with the world where censorship has dimmed their voices and keep on being this amazing company!
It’s decent but inferior to mullvad

Have used this daily for almost a year so have enough experience with it. In terms of performance, ping, buffering, time to load to content from skeleton UI etc everything is done better by Mullvad compared to Proton VPN. Customer support isn’t really that pleasant and have been a consistent voice from the community (only trying to find it on reddit will be difficult because that used to be an echo chamber of fanboys). Some sites with proton’s vpn comes out to “this site can’t be reached”, whereas they worked with Mullvad, even tough everything is same in terms of configuration.

Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, some websites are not VPN-friendly and are actively blocking known VPN IP addresses. We're continuously working on resolving issues of this sort ourselves. You can try switching between multiple servers to see if you can access the content with some of them.That said, feel free to share your ticket number with us here so we can check on your report and see how we can further assist you with any issues you may be experiencing with Proton VPN.
