KUU: AI Brain Dump for ADHD
Overthinking? Talk it out
Free · In-App Purchases
When your head is full, it can be hard to know what belongs in front of you and what can wait.
KUU is a quiet voice-first app for brain dumps, overthinking, scattered ideas and the small worries you would rather not keep carrying.
You can speak what is on your mind. It does not need to be organised.
KUU turns what you said into text and gently separates it four ways:
Now / Later / Park / Let go.
The point is not to do more.
It is to make a little room in your head.
■ When to use it
- Late at night, when your mind will not settle.
- When the same thought keeps going round.
- When task managers have started to feel like hard work.
- When you want to be heard, but do not want to send it to anyone.
- When you just need to get something off your chest.
- When talking out loud helps you understand what you mean.
- When an idea appears before it has a shape.
- When you do not want to forget something, but it is not ready to act on.
- When voice feels easier than typing.
- When your hands are busy: driving, cooking, getting ready or on your commute.
■ The 4 ways
Now — Something that might feel lighter if you look at it soon.
Later — Something to come back to another time.
Park — An idea, feeling or question that does not need an answer yet.
Let go — A worry or thought you might not need to keep hold of.
These are not priorities, scores or colour-coded lists.
They are quiet ways to hold what you said.
■ How KUU is different
- Unlike a notes app, KUU starts with speaking, not writing.
- Unlike a task manager, KUU does not turn every thought into something to do.
- Unlike an AI chat, KUU does not give long advice or add more to think about.
KUU receives what you said and separates it into smaller, easier pieces.
■ What you can do
- Speak naturally, even when your thoughts are mixed up.
- See your words as text.
- See only what needs your attention now.
- Keep later thoughts, parked ideas and things to let go in their own places.
- Revisit what you have said whenever you like.
■ Your voice and your data
- Raw audio is not kept.
- What you said is saved as text so you can look back later.
- Sorting uses AI. Only your words as text are sent, and nothing is kept.
- Your saved text syncs only to your private iCloud.
- Other people and the app developer cannot read it.
■ On your Mac
KUU waits quietly in the menu bar.
You can speak without opening a window, and it carries all the way through to
Now / Later / Park / Let go.
What you said before is never more than a glance away.
KUU is not here to add more thoughts.
It is here for the space between:
“I do not need to sort this out right now”
and
“I do not want to keep holding it in my head.”
— Speaking makes room in your mind.

Here's KUU 2.14.0.
【What's new in 2.14.0】
■ “Now” on your Lock Screen, easier to read
It now sits on a soft pale-blue background, so it's easy to read even on a bright wallpaper. In Settings under “Lock Screen,” you can switch it to Clear, Light, or Dark.
■ Light or Dark, just for KUU
Under “Appearance” in Settings, you can now choose KUU's look separately from your device setting.
■ The water goes down as you speak
While recording, the water level now goes down with how long you've been speaking, not how loud. It stays still while you're quiet.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.14.0 26 Sept
Here's KUU 2.13.1.
【What's new in 2.13.1】
■ The welcome screens, on every iPhone
On some models such as iPhone Air, the “Next” button in the welcome screens was hidden below the edge of the screen, so you couldn't continue. The button now fits on every screen size.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.13.1 24 Sept
Here's KUU 2.13.0.
【What's new in 2.13.0】
■ A quiet reminder, at the time you mentioned
When you say “next week” or “by the end of the month,” KUU reminds you around then. Your first 10 are free. After that, you can continue with KUU+.
■ Better listening in Cantonese
When you speak Cantonese, KUU now hears you more accurately.
■ Switching languages, without a stall
If you switch between several languages, listening could occasionally stop getting ready. KUU now quietly clears a language you aren't using so it can keep going.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.13.0 24 Sept
Here's KUU 2.12.0.
【What's new in 2.12.0】
■ Not speaking yet? That's fine
If you tap “I’m done speaking” before your voice arrives, you won't land on a “couldn't hear you” screen. It just says “That's okay,” and keeps listening quietly until you start.
■ Typed words stay as written
What you type on the keyboard is sorted as you wrote it, without being reworded like speech.
■ Name learned, right there
When you fix a name on the screen after speaking, “Learned” appears on that line. It shows up the second time too.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.12.0 16 Sept
Here's KUU 2.11.0.
【What's new in 2.11.0】
■ “Theme” is now “Folder”
Groupings like Work and Family are now called “Folder,” so they don't get mixed up with the Theme that changes how things look. What's inside and their colors stay the same. In Settings' “Folder marker,” you can choose how the mark for each folder appears.
■ Talk straight to a folder
Choose a folder on the sort screen, and “Talk about Family” appears below it. Speak to that folder, and what you say goes straight into Family.
■ The screen after you speak, faster
We shortened the wait between finishing speaking and seeing the sorted list. The timing for a reminder is added quietly afterward.
■ Bigger text
We added “Large” and “Largest” to text size.
■ Speak in Cantonese (廣東話(香港))
We added 廣東話 to Speaking language.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.11.0 15 Sept
Here's KUU 2.10.0.
【What's new in 2.10.0】
■ Notify automatically at times you mention
When you say things like “I’ll do it next week” or “by the end of the month”, AI sets a push notification for around that time. No date to pick. With KUU+ it's on from the start — you can turn it off any time in Settings → Notifications.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.10.0 10 Sept
Here's KUU 2.9.0.
【What's new in 2.9.0】
■ Speak again in one tap
The screen after you speak now has "Speak again" — if you want to say it differently, just start over without saving.
■ "Remember Names", clearer
Each name now has its own page, where you can see how KUU has come to recognize it.
■ Manage KUU+ inside the app
The KUU+ section in Settings is clearer, and managing your plan or restoring purchases now works right inside the app.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.9.0 3 Sept
Here's KUU 2.8.0.
What's new in 2.8.0
■ Write straight into a place from the widget
Each place on the widget now has a “+”. Touch it and “Write it down” opens; what you write goes straight into that place. When editing the widget you can switch to a single button, or none.
■ A way out for words that couldn't be sorted
When things get busy and sorting fails, KUU quietly tries once more. You can also leave the words as they are — and see where they landed right away.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.8.0 28 Aug
Here's KUU 2.7.0.
【What's new in 2.7.0】
■ Fix an item right where it sits
If something was misheard, touch the item and fix it right there. Keep or don't keep has moved to press and hold — right-click on the Mac. Picking an item up and carrying it somewhere else works just as before.
■ A closer time for "Remind me later"
"In 30 minutes" and "In 1 hour" have joined the choices. A time you pick late at night arrives just as you set it, instead of waiting for the morning.
■ The same things, now on the Mac
"Remind me later", your own morning and evening times, five new languages and a handful of small fixes have arrived on the Mac as well.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.7.0 17 Aug
Here's KUU 2.6.0.
【What's new in 2.6.0】
■ "Remind me later" is here
Press and hold an item on the tidying screen to choose "Remind me later". Tonight, tomorrow morning, next week — or a date and time — and KUU quietly reminds you then.
■ You decide what time it arrives
Set your own morning and evening times. "Tonight" arrives at your evening time, "Tomorrow morning" and the rest at your morning time.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.6.0 15 Aug
Here's KUU 2.5.0.
【What's new in 2.5.0】
■ "Sort again" is now "Edit what you said"
In the list that follows what you said, "Sort again" is now called "Edit what you said". The name finally tells you what it's for.
■ The tidying screen no longer feels sluggish
The tidying screen could feel sluggish at times — that's fixed. And the note that brings back what you let go no longer disappears right away.
■ Now in Arabic and Hebrew
KUU is now available in Arabic and Hebrew. The screen follows the writing direction, laid out from right to left.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.5.0 10 Aug
Here's KUU 2.4.0.
【What's new in 2.4.0】
■ Editing no longer stumbles
When you tweak what you said, moving to another line no longer closes what you were writing. You can now place your cursor right at the start of a line, too.
■ The first-time guide stays till the end
Tips on how to use KUU no longer vanish before you've finished reading them.
■ KUU+'s theme sorting, ready right away
Once you join KUU+, you can switch it on right there on the welcome screen. No need to dig into settings — what you say sorts itself by theme.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.4.0 7 Aug
Here's KUU 2.3.0.
【What's new in 2.3.0】
■ Now on Apple Watch
You can look back on what you said on iPhone, right from your wrist. Let go with a touch, move it somewhere else, or speak to leave something new.
■ Now on Mac, too
What you said on iPhone is there in the Mac menu bar as well. Speak to leave something new, let go with a touch, or move it elsewhere, all without opening a window.
■ When it can't be sorted, it's kept for you
What couldn't be sorted no longer disappears. It stays in “Kept for you”, and you can move it wherever you like later.
■ About how sorting works
The setting that sorted only on your device has ended with this version. From now on, only your words as text are sent for sorting, and nothing is kept.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.3.0 1 Aug
Here's KUU 2.2.0.
【What's new in 2.2.0】

Turn it on in Settings, and today's “Now” rests quietly on your Lock Screen. No sound, and it fades away as the day ends.
■ Theme colors, the way you like
Choose from 11 ways for theme colors to appear. Marker and underline are free; the rest come with KUU+.
■ Write out what you've let go
Save what you've let go as a single card, or copy it as text.
■ When it mishears or missorts
A quiet line now sits at the bottom of the results screen, so you can let us know right there. Your notes go into making KUU hear and sort better.
■ Fixed unexpected quits
Fixed an issue where the app could quit when you opened a notification or started speaking.
As always, we're here to help a little space return to your mind.
2.2.0 20 Jul
KUU 2.1.0 is here.

At the start of each month, quietly look back on what you let go of last month.
■ Let go right from the widget
Touch the ○ on the widget to let something go, without opening the app.
■ A gentle call back
When it's been a while, KUU gently lets you know it might be time to talk. You can turn notifications off anytime.
■ Your music keeps playing
Fixed an issue where opening the app stopped music that was playing.
■ 10 new languages
Dutch / Indonesian / Malay / Danish / Norwegian / Swedish / Finnish / French / Thai / Russian. The words in the app, and the way AI organizes what you say, are now in your language.
■ A more accurate response
What comes back after you speak now lands more accurately in your own language.
We hope KUU keeps gently helping a little space return to your mind.
2.1.0 15 Jul

KUU gently sorts unsorted thoughts into your existing themes (turn it on or off in Settings).

KUU 1.6 is here. Now you can make a little room in your head by writing, too — even when speaking out loud isn't an option.
【What's new in 1.6】
■ When you can't speak, write it
On a train, or anywhere it's hard to speak aloud, you can now write instead and let it settle. KUU sorts it gently, just as it does with your voice.
■ A gentle word before your first breath
Before you speak for the first time, KUU now quietly offers a few tips for talking with your shoulders relaxed. You don't have to say it well.
■ Calmer, after you've spoken
Even when it all comes out in one breath, less slips through, and the first wait is shorter. What you said returns, sorted more quietly.
We hope KUU keeps gently helping a little space return to your mind.
1.6 24 Jun
KUU 1.5 is here. KUU now settles in gently with dark mode.

■ An easier-to-read widget
You can now choose the text size on the widget. It shows just as much as fits, quietly.

What you let go ripples softly and fades away. The rest gently rises into place, and the screen settles.
We hope KUU keeps gently helping a little space return to your mind.
1.5 16 Jun
KUU 1.4 is here. KUU now feels at home on iPad, and you can gently rearrange what you said.

KUU 1.2 is here. Now you can arrange your themes more by hand.
