Canceled trial but charged

Can someone from the app company help me out on this issue? I canceled the trial on the first day of the trial but somehow the annual fee was charged. Later, I checked to see what happened and noticed that the subscription did not get canceled even though I remember canceling it on the first day. We did not use the app at all since the first day of the trial, and want refund. Please let me know what I should do in this case. Thank you.

It’s really interactive games and lessons. I love that those games are hand-made by teachers and educators. Also, I love that it has various topics and can sort by different age groups. Definitely recommend this app.
