Buddy offers a $9.99 monthly renewing and a $49.99 yearly renewing subscription to unlock Premium functionality.
The purchase will be charged from your iTunes account if you choose to buy the Buddy Premium subscription. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the user settings in iTunes after the purchase. The subscription period ends with the same kind of subscription you already bought to the same price unless you turn off your subscription 24 hours before it renews. It is not possible to cancel your current subscription during the time your subscription is active.

Spring is in the air! A time for fresh starts, a bit of cleaning… and apparently fixing a few things in Buddy.
This is one of those classic bug fixes and improvements updates. Not very glamorous, but quietly important — the kind your future self will thank us for.
- Fixed: Transaction type wasn’t always selected correctly. Now it behaves.
- Fixed: The app could crash when logging in after logging out. Not the warm welcome we had in mind.
- Fixed: Connecting an anonymous account with Apple could sometimes create a brand new account and make it seem like your data disappeared. That was… not great. It’s fixed now.
Plus, as usual, a handful of smaller fixes and improvements under the hood to keep everything running smoothly.

Congrats, we made it through the first two months of the year! Those are usually the hardest. Let’s keep this going into spring!
- Fixed: This update resolves a bug where new wallets could accidentally be created when adding a transaction. While we admire the enthusiasm, Buddy shouldn’t be opening new wallets on your behalf.

A small but shiny update, with a mix of polish, fixes, and a few details we couldn’t stop thinking about:
- Improved: The dark mode app icon has received a subtle makeover. Same icon, just looking a little sharper than before.
- Fixed: Tapping the date field when creating or editing renewable transactions was… harder than it should’ve been. It should now work effortlessly.
- Fixed: A few tweaks to the all-new Settings page, thanks to all your great feedback!

February is here — the worst part (January) is officially behind us. To celebrate, we’ve given a couple of often-ignored corners of Buddy some well-deserved love:
- New: A revamped Settings screen with a fresh look. It might not be the most visited part of the app, but it’s nicer now — and it supports Dynamic Type (text size now follows your system font settings).
- New: A modernized budget picker. It should feel familiar, just cleaner and more polished.
- Fixed: A bunch of smaller fixes and improvements throughout the app.

Just hanging in there with you in the middle of January — arguably the longest and poorest month of the year. We’ve got a small but important fix to help things feel a bit less painful:
- Fixed: Some wallets couldn’t be removed due to an incorrect message saying they were still connected to recurring transactions. That’s been sorted out now.
We’ve also made a few under-the-hood improvements to keep everything running smoothly.

As we’re heading into the holiday season, we’ve been doing a bit of last-minute tidying up to make sure Buddy behaves itself while you focus on more important things (like cookies and gift shopping).
- Fixed: We squashed some bugs where the currently selected budget wasn’t always being used — for example when creating or importing transactions. That should all be sorted now.
- Fixed: The app could crash when enabling demo data. Not very festive — now fixed.
- Fixed: Some wallets may have gone missing previously. Good news: they’ve been found and put back where they belong.
