I absolutely love this app and play it probably more than I should. Like other reviewers I have had multiple issues with timeouts/no internet messages/ game stuck on other players all of these end up needing to quit game and start a new one impacting your kharma score or all other players disappearing when you’re in the middle of a great game - highly frustrating either way. For me this has just become part of the norm and I shall continue to play but it would be great if this could be fixed with it impacting so many users. Please!
Awesome game but frozen or disconnected from time to time

Love the game very much. However, I wish that it wasn’t freezing all the time. I had to close off and re-open the app to unfreeze. Hope devs can rectify this issue. Otherwise, i could have given this game a 5/5. I play on ipad pro 2021. Not sure if the game doesn’t work well on mac. My friends are playing on Windows and haven’t heard that they are having any issue so far. Furthermore, there is not a lot of benefit getting the development coins above level 3. It doesn’t do much except for keeping me from losing my metropolis which is only 2 victory points. Please enlighten me if my understanding around the development coins is not correct. Cheers
Improved app for Catan which is a limited game.

Much improved by fixing most of the connection issues. So moved rating from 1 to 3 stars. But still plagued by intermittent connection problems despite having 1Gbps connection. Still has major bugs unresolved e.g. keeps trying to rejoin a game that ended. So backdown to 1 star.Also Catan results are often determined by who gets the roll of the dice. Then there are the vagaries of ranking(e.g. I won a game in the special season and got -9 ELO. In other words, my ranking declined when I won the game. I didn’t lose the game, I didn’t quit. I won and my ranking dropped.). There appear to be many players who make the others wait an extra 6 minutes while they’re booted instead of quitting which would be more considerate. But maybe they have connection issues too.

As others have commented, online games are a disaster. Often delays in updating while playing online, and often crashed or will crash for one player. At the moment the server is completely down and inaccessible. Interface good and well laid out, although there are several interface bugs especially when trading resources. Hope they fix it promptly!

Season Matchmaking: You'll now be matched reliably only with other season players, and every season match counts toward your Elo.
Player Count & Maps: Numerous fixes for wrong player counts and incorrectly loaded maps in 3-4 and 5-6 player matches.
Settings: The player count slider now reliably remembers your selection, and matchmaking is no longer blocked by missing board customisation choices.
