First battery powered camera that I’ve owned and even with a few faults it’s still a good product Have now put solar panels on 3 of 5 of our cameras which make life easier, cameras were needing to be charged every 3-6 weeks Setup is pretty easy -The wind affecting nearby trees can set the cameras off every minute for a good couple of hours even after turning down the sensitivity which is really annoying -acouple second lag on the cameras which at the start was annoying but soon got use to it (doesn’t help though with the microphone part of it though when there’s a lag) -I’m paying for the 4k usage plus storage which I don’t really think about anymore (roll over charges) -wifi and hub need to be in a pretty centralised position in your house so that all of the cameras are in range and don’t drop out of coverage#just my first camera fail, have waited over a month for the replacement so far

I’m not good with technology or internet stuff. My son set it up ‘mum it’s a piece of cake’... and honestly just seeing the video footage around the house is amazing. You think you know what’s going on but watching stray animals, our pet dog, even everyone coming & going from home shows there is a lot happening. The little girl next door comes over and plays with our dog and kidnaps him and takes him to her place! The peace of mind is the biggest thing. Particularly if you shoot into town to do a quick job. Not that l ever had a need to be worried in the past it’s more that l can have a way to check if anything seams amiss. I can check who has come & gone. It’s definitely worth it. The video imaging is very clear. The audio is a bonus. Absolutely worth it. By the way our insurance company has agree to give us a discount on our premium which does not quite cover the monthly subscription but l still think it is worth the extra cost. If your thinking about it l would highly recommend this company and product. You won’t be disappointed.
Great concept not so great execution

I love the whole Arlo concept but unfortunately it’s not as practical as it should be especially with the updated app and also not as responsive on the iPad as the iPhone app. The activity zones don’t seem to work and even reducing the sensitivity on noise or motion doesn’t appear to reduce the amount of alerts. I’ve resorted to turning some of the cameras off as they react to any motion or noise or if they aren’t close enough to the WiFi source (especially the Pro 5 camera we bought to supplement the Pro 4s as they don’t sell Pro 4s in NZ anymore from what I can see), waste all the battery trying to find the wifi. And if I turn a camera off I can’t restart it on the iPad - it simply won’t let me get into Settings to turn it back on so I have to go to my iPhone for that. Oh and then there’s the camera that no matter where I put it says there’s an audio alert at 4.10am every morning. So you have to ask yourself, is it really the best solution for our requirements? I’m beginning to think not. I sold this into my partner as the best thing since sliced bread and it’s turned into stale toast.

I bought the system Arlo Pro2 more than a year ago. Had prblems from the start and because it is suppose to be security for my holiday home, we are not near the home to sort out problems so only half my property is covered because the other cameras are not working. I took the faulty cameras back to the vendor and they said that I should bring the complete system in and they eill replace it. Because I bought it in my home town, I had to take it back there to be replaced. No security for my property until I can get back to my Holiday home. Installed and set up the new system after a special trip down to the holiday home. Two weeks later only half the cameras are working. Changed to battery power only and get annoying false notifications. Turn two cameras off again because of annoying notifications at night. One camera last only 4 days on a fully charged battery.I thought I would go for the more expensive option for quality but it proved to be a big mistake and should have rather gone for another option. Very disappointed and not to be reccommended at all espicially in coastal areas where the plugs get contaminated and does not work.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
General stability, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
