I’ve been out of the game for about 7 months due to a bad lower back (confirmed recently I have early disc degeneration). Due to the non-movement and mental struggle that came with this I had piled on a good 15kg over a period of 9 months. Needless to say I probably experienced one of my darkest times mentally which was hard to admit or deal with (as a mum of 3 - we just got to keep moving right?) Previous to this I was doing functional style fitness (CrossFit inspired). I was no pro-athlete, more of a beginner/novice range, but I was moving for a good 2.5 years and managed to maintain a healthy weight. I joined ladder a little over 6 weeks ago (just in time for Baseline) and …1. I have had limited to no lower back pain 2. I am starting to love working out again with the freedom of doing it anytime, anywhere (home or gym) 3. I have built up some courage and confidence that there is light at the end of the tunnel and I will get through this with proper form, good habits and a healthy lifestyle4. I do not take my health and movement for granted any longer - the ability to move is a blessing 5. I just got in the nick of time and earned my BASELINE badge 😍 Coach Sasha has been an amazing impact to my return and I couldn’t be more greatful. Loving her coaching tips, guidance and realness she adds to her workouts. In Samoan we say Fa’afetai Tele lava which means thank you 🙏🏽 so thankful to have come across this app and this team (Team ALIGN) I was a bit skeptical being online but it ticks all the boxes for me and this community is nothing but supportive and amazing!

I don’t do reviews anymore, can’t think of one I’ve written in the 15 years of being an iPhone user. But as a Personaltrainer who just wants to be told what to do, turn my brain off and do the work, this is the perfect app. A great way to choose a specific style of training according to your goals, choose from an array of coaches for your team, then get stuck into as many of the weekly workouts as you keen, within the 6 week blocks. Love the guided voice in real time as you train. Helps provide a steady tempo so no time for social media and other distractions. A great community feed to comment in plus cheers to give and receive from others while you workout. Great video demos. Amazing energy from Coach Andre. All for $20 a month. Unbelievable value. Get it. Don’t wait.

Genuinely the most motivating workout app I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. Ladder has a huge range of trainers to choose from who specialise in different areas and types of equipment, and they give you new cues with every single workout every single week. It works in 6 week programs where we all progress together. I don’t know what else you need to know to be sold on the value of this app. There’s a detailed exercise specific journal for you to log your progress and it calculates your estimated 1RM based on the weight you move in your workouts. There’s also a nutrition tracker, you get a big green tick for each day you complete a workout and you can cheer on and chat with your other team mates. Ladder is life changing!

I have just finished the 5 day trial period and have loved every bit of this app. I have tried many workout apps- and have been yet to find an app that actually works for me, that I am able to stick to. Finally I have found this app!! I enjoy the in ear coaching, and the tips from the personal trainers around form, what weight we should be using and how far to push ourselves. I really look forward to my workouts now, and feel I push myself to the brim. I have now purchased the yearly subscription, and cannot wait to see results! I also love the community within the app- that we can encourage others and give kudos during our workouts. Great work guys!! Thanks so much :)
