I use Trend Micro Mobile Security across my Apple infrastructure for both Phones and iPads. The functionality has increased over the years since it was an application that was independent of the app store to one that is easily purchased or upgraded through the app store. It covers the key areas that I’m concerned about well and some of the newer functionality covering spam text messaging is well thought out. The web protection identifies a surpising number of dodgy websites, particularly those links portrayed on previously trusted sites likes news sites. Why a 3? 1. The application has to be restarted after each time the device is powered off, it does not start automatically when the device is powered on. An integration issue here. 2. It has an annoying habit of asking for a customer rating with an increased frequency, far greater than any other app, so frustratimg 3. Renewal or activation is a nightmare. Instead of just renewing automatically as the subscription (covers up to six devices) is updated, I find I’m having to delete the app and reload, reassigning a subscription to be covered. This leaves my device exposed during the upgrade process. 4. I am finding that I am constantly seeking help desk support for provlems, which by the way is responsive. Why remain? I used another major provder of virus software and found I was gettimg a significant increase in spam and other ‘instrusion’ activites within six weeks of renewal every year for three years. My cynical side recognised this behaviour for what it was and switched to Trend, which despite the frustrations and limitations, appears to provide the level of service I’m looking for.

When Trend Micro first started out I used their antivirus on my old laptop for several years. Then I moved to Aus and had to use a different protection cos it came with the work laptop. I came back to NZ and again had to use yet another company for my work protection. None of them were as simple, effective and user friendly as Trend. Finally I retired and went to my phone provider who had a great price offer on Trend and I am REALLY glad to be back with them. Best value, best protection, most unobtrusive and easiest to use. I don't think I will ever use anyone else ever again!

I've always trusted this security app/program and I've been a long-time customer for many years throughout all that's happening in this world causing chaos within cyberspace I have been protected, and yes it costs a lot but you are getting the best money ever spent when comes to your privacy and personal information is protected and always alert you when there is a concern or need your attention now, fixes and go on your merry way. ✌︎

I’ve used Trend since about 2009, it’s easy to install, there is usually some type of incentive to resubscribe ie extra months or two years is a better price than one. I have never had any concerns re any malware or virus on my Mac or iPhone, there is the option to protect up to 6 devices too. I use Trend Micro VPN too, so I can shop online without being tracked or watched. It’s just simple peace of mind.
