more I’ve tried a lot of pdf apps out there, paid or free, but this one has all the features that I’ve been looking for that separates it from the rest. It has full index searching (though folders or per document) with instantaneous results; the search results are presented in a pleasing manner (the only suggestions that I have are first, is to remove the “zooming in” x10 to the selected search result, particularly to the word — why would anyone want that is beyond me as it only adds more work for me to zoom it out again with literally zero gain (search highlights should be more than sufficient); and second, have the search button as one of the toolbar icons above for easier access); it supports outlines; and it shows the annotated excerpts; it supports multiple tabs (the “...” is also brilliant), among others. That aside from the usual pdf reader features like annotations and continuous pages. I like it that the toolbars hide when reading (some apps don’t have that which is intrusive to my reading exp). It is also very fast and responsive, and has a very intuitive UI. Thank you!!Edit: How come this is free? As to the search button, the clickable “< Documents” occupies around 4/10 of the toolbar (portrait orientation, iPhone 6s), perhaps that could be reduced to accomodate an additional button? One of the strengths of this app is its searching capabilities, and it can be best utilized with better search button access esp. if I have to jump from one result to another. Right now, clicks are doubled and can become very tedious. Suggestion 3: Better support for iOS 11 Safari-created PDFs; use width perhaps instead of height (if I’m making any sense)? Suggestion 4: If technically possible, please add a feature to be able to manually sort files on top of the current sorting methods. Often times, files need to be sorted other than alphabetically. Minor suggestion: option to remove the spaces between pages for better readability. Again, thanks a lot!
Developer Response Wow, thanks a lot for this very insightful review and for taking the time to write that! We are very pleased that you like the stuff where we really put our thoughts into and it's amazing to see people appreciate it. Regarding the search button, the top toolbar and annotation toolbar have a smart behaviour and are grouping specific buttons on smaller devices and device orientations because there's simply not enough space on the screen for all of them. The zoom level really seems a bit extreme, I'll forward this to the team and we'll decide if it would make sense to tone it down a bit. Thanks!

Edit:After the recent update, the viewer crashes every time the screen rotates. All the open PDFs in tabs closes down. I had to reopen each one again. :(———It has all the functionality I need to annotate a PDF document, ad-free! I’ve been using this app to read reference books and articles. I love the little details like the transition effects of turning a page, hiding the menu bar while reading, option to change theme and many more. I can highlight text, scribble notes on the margin of the book, place sticky notes, and add text without any banner or popping ads. Definitely 5 stars for me. I just have a couple of suggestions. I wish you can add few more kinds of pen. I scribble a lot of lines and circles while reading and I think (wish) smoothness option will be a great addition in the “ink” box. Lastly, one minor issue: I use dark theme and on the “ink” box, I hope the developers can change the text color of “color” and “background color” from black to white. To the developers, thank you for being so generous with this app!

This has all of the features that are a must as a medical student constantly reading books and notes. This is the only app that has the blend feature built into the free hand highlight. Although i would like to have a magical free hand highlight feature so my lines would be straighter. I do have issues sometimes when annotating the text highlighter sometimes lags and takes a while before it appears. Over all good app for the 1 week I have been using it, I will be subscribing soon!

I like almost everything about the annotations and gestures that I can do. The highlight feature is awesome and very easy to use. The things that I would love to be added are: The addition of a separate button space for the underline feature. Increase of saved colors from 4 to 8. In bigger screens like the iPad these added buttons would be well integrated into the large screens and would not cause crowding. Customization of app theme colors and graphics. I hope we get to enjoy these added buttons for our favorite highlight colors soon.
