Experts’ opinion:
PCMag: “[Proton VPN’s] is a slick VPN with an excellent collection of advanced features, and it has the best free subscription plan we've seen. Few competitors can match its mix of affordability, features, and design. For all that, it gets a rare five-star rating and earns our Editors' Choice award”
TechRadar: “The completely free tier is something no other competitor [...] offers.
Wired: "The best VPN" "Overall, Proton VPN is very fast"
Proton VPN has been a great experience so far. The app is clean, easy to navigate, and connecting to a VPN server is quick and reliable. I especially appreciate the strong focus on privacy and security without making the app complicated to use.Connection speeds are generally good, and I’ve had a smooth experience browsing and using different apps while connected. The free plan is also a great option for users who want reliable VPN protection without immediately paying for a subscription.Overall, Proton VPN is one of the best VPN apps I’ve tried on iPhone. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a trustworthy and user-friendly VPN.
Safest free VPN out there

The fact that there's no limit to the free tier and it doesn't fully nuke your data speeds is just way too good. You'd be thinking about "what's the catch?" or "are they selling my data" but nope this is Proton. If they do something suspicious here, they'll get bad reputation for their Mail as well and that will affect their sales badly so I doubt that they'll do the usual sketchy things a free VPN would do. Will be planning to upgrade to support this product after some time. Keep up the great work devs!
Unusable on Multuple devices - Broken guest checkout syatem

Extremely frustrating experience. I purchased the annual VPN Plus subscription on iOS, which was advertised to support multi-device use on up to 10 devices. Because the app allowed purchasing via Apple In-App Purchase in guest mode, it failed to create proper login credentials or generate a functional cloud account. When trying to use the service on my iPad, there is no way to log in, reset a password, or restore the purchase without hitting error loops. It is far better to pay a bit more for a competing service than to force myself to figure out how to log in on another device through such a stressful process. Other VPN providers make cross-device login seamless, but Proton's authentication system for Apple subscriptions is broken and unintuitive. Requested a full refund.

Reliable VPN

Don’t know why it has only 103 downloads in IOS. The App is very effective, and especially that I always wanted to change my location to Japan when I visit websites. Although it doesn’t quite work in Linux ( for me ). The language changes when you log in to a Gmail account, I don’t pay and I don’t use a subscription which makes me really happy!. I rate this VPN 5 stars for being really effective! I can enjoy watching anime that is only in Netflix Japan now \ ( ^ u ^ \ )
